A typical household would have the dad working and fixing the house for any leaks or damaged sinks, while the mother cooks, prepares food, does the laundry, takes care of the kids and husband, the list can just go on and on . . .
With modern times come changes in the so-called duties of a man and woman. Gone are the days when women are just to stay at home, and men are to bring home the bacon. We now live in a world of double income families, house-husbands, career woman, etc. This is where the beauty of being a work at home mom comes in., we simply get to have the best of both worlds.
In my case, I just feel grateful to have a husband who is very understanding and open-minded. He values and respects my ideas and just almost gives in to everything I demand- especially now that I'm a hormone filled 8 month pregnant woman!
My work-at-home jobs are usually at night. So he makes sure that I get to have enough sleep in the morning even if it means he will have to cook breakfast, bathe the kids, clean the house, cook lunch, put the kids to take some nap, buy some snacks, buy or cook dinner, and then go to work by 5pm. It's a lot for him to do, but he does it wholeheartedly.
So to make-up, I try my best to at least wash the dishes after lunch and I put the kids to sleep if I can before I start my online job. I also compensate by taking over some chores on weekends, but then due to my condition, it rarely happens. :)
I know can never thank him enough, that even if he's very tired at the end of the day, he still puts on a happy face and greets me warmly when he comes home. Never did I hear a word of complain come out of his mouth. For this, I am eternally grateful.
So to all the moms out there, who like me, have husbands from heaven, let's not forget to express our appreciation of their efforts and of how we just love them more and more each day.
Have a blessed and love-filled married life everyone!

3 years of married bliss!
Finding the man God has prepared for me at such a young age is one of the greatest blessings I've received in my life. Not only did it save me a great deal of heartaches and tears, I also get to be with the one person I can be myself with and be loved unconditionally in return.
So last February 23, 2012 my hubby and I celebrated our wedding anniversary. We were having some financial difficulties lately because of the fact that he is the only one working at the moment due to my sensitive pregnancy. Despite the money restrictions and his very chaotic schedule, my husband still managed to find the resources necessary for us to be able to celebrate our special day.
Since we live in Montalban, we had to travel for more than an hour to get to Gateway. Then we had a snack at a resto bar and then headed to watch Ghost Rider Spirit of Vengeance. Afterwards we went inside Rustans to canvass for baby stuff. Then when our feet felt tired from walking we ate a sumptuous meal at Burgoo. Our day was filled with simple activities made special by the presence of each other.
Simple and endearing, that's what my husband is. He takes delight in the simplest things and magically crafts it into something extraordinary. He also has a way of making me smile and calm whenever I get mad for the smallest of reasons. But more importantly I am thankful that I have such a dependable husband. No matter how bad things are he always has a way of figuring things out .
It's comforting to know to have someone like him, beside me, holding my hand in this ever surprising and challenging journey called life.
So cheers to our 3rd year together and looking forward to more love-filled years to come!

Accelerated Motherhood
3 years ago I'm just a regular fresh college graduate ready to pursue my teaching career but it seems life has better plans for me. I fell in love and became a mother. To follow my family's advice or to follow my heart? This was the question boggling my mind. I tried to do what they want,: be a single mom and raise my kid alone. They were happy, I was not.
So after trying so hard to please them and yet feeling miserable, I decided to go for what my heart desires and that is to be with the man I love.
It was a difficult start. Lots of people betting we'll end up divorced. But I guess if you really do what you want and just simply follow your heart, you'll never go wrong.
And now I'm happily married with 3 (3rd child 7months as of today) lovely kids produced! I may not have followed the life plan my family had set for me but I've never felt happier. I've learned to try a different industry (call center) and enjoyed working in the corporate world for 3 years. But being a mother really changes things.
Motherhood opened my eyes to what's really important. I realized having a high paycheck can't compare to the joy of being able to witness the milestones my children make each day. I feel guilty for i haven't been as present and as available as I could with my 2 kids and I won't make the same mistake twice.
So now that i'm 7 months on the family way with my 3rd child, I decided to be full time mom. Thanks to the many moms out there I've realized I could be a work at home mom to. We can indeed have the best of both worlds!
So expect to read more stories of my young mom adventures and i do hope to meet fellow moms (both young and young at heart) out there who share the same passion as I do. Let's exchange stories and ideas, be friend and realize that we're not alone in this roller coaster ride called motherhood!
